WELCOME to the Peterborough Sailability web site where we hope you will find all you need to know about us.
We have been operating since 2006 at Ferry Meadows in Nene Park and offer people with disabilities living in and around Peterborough the opportunity to go sailing- to enjoy the fresh air and sense of freedom that this brings.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update May 2021
Over the last few weeks Peterborough Sailability has been busy practicing our sailing skills and ensuring our volunteers are ready for our regular and new disabled sailors. We want to ensure a fresh, bright and inspiring sail experience again at Nene Park for our disabled sailors, because we know how long and difficult it has been for everybody without this great well-being experience. We have practiced our procedures to ensure they are fully compliant and safe within the Covid requirements.
We are ready for solo sailing for our more able sailors with disabilities from Tuesday 18 May. Starting at 10:00 am. And then regularly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. When the regulations hopefully change again on 22 June, we will welcome back larger groups of disabled sailors to Nene Park and offer hosted trips on our Challengers and Lugger boats.
If you are looking for a really positive and healthy outdoor activity for yourself, or a person with disabilities you may know, please enquire further to the Secretary at the following address:
Our boats are worked very hard during the season and some of the older ones will need replacing over the next four years.
