WELCOME to the Peterborough Sailability web site where we hope you will find all you need to know about us.
We have been operating since 2006 at Ferry Meadows in Nene Park and offer people with disabilities living in and around Peterborough the opportunity to go sailing- to enjoy the fresh air and sense of freedom that this brings.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update July 2021
Summer has arrived at Peterborough Sailability, and whilst the Government held off releasing the restrictions, more and more sailors have been coming to Ferry Meadows and enjoying some sailing.
We want to provide a safe and inspiring sail experience at Nene Park for our disabled sailors. As soon as the restrictions lift later in July, we will be ready to welcome back all our care groups and larger groups to Peterborough Sailability. Please let us know your requirements by contacting us again and registering for this season.
We run twice weekly sessions starting at 10:00 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. When the regulations hopefully change again on 20 July, we will welcome back larger groups of people with physical or learning conditions, for anyone wishing to experience the joy of wind on their faces and the push of the sail. We offer hosted trips or sailing development sessions on our Challengers and Lugger boats.
Don’t hold back, get your registration in early and ask to book 30 minute slots.
We look forward to seeing you.
If you are looking for a really positive and healthy outdoor activity for yourself, or a person with disabilities you may know, please enquire further to the Secretary at the following address:
Our boats are worked very hard during the season and some of the older ones will need replacing over the next four years.
